Megan Gray and Natalie Dulaney are both a part of Karla Ausderau’s research lab. Later this month, along with Alison Mushett and Steve Woodard, they will be presenting at the 2020 Virtual Wisconsin Self-Determination Conference. This conference will be focused on taking control of your life and is hosted by the Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (BPDD) whose mission is “to unite ALL of Wisconsin in supporting our citizens with developmental disabilities to lead their most independent lives.”
The presentation will be geared towards empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with the skills needed to get more engaged in research. Specifically, the presentation will focus on what health research is, why individuals with IDD belong on a research team, and how participants can use their own personal health stories to advocate for themselves and for other people!
Join them as they present virtually on October 28th from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM. Find more information by watching their commercial below and checking out the Wisconsin BPDD website.
