Reporting Bias/Hate Incidents

Students can report bias/hate incidents to the Dean of Students Office confidentially or anonymously. Students will receive a confirmation that their report was received, and a staff member will follow up to discuss next steps. If the student is interested, the Bias Response and Advocacy Coordinator will contact them to provide additional support. See the following links for more information:

University Employees who have workplace concerns are encouraged to contact the Ombuds Office (608-265-9992) to discuss their concerns and receive guidance. The office’s response is tailored to the dynamics of the situation and nature of the concerns.

The Department of Kinesiology is developing an internal system to support students, faculty, and staff who experience incidents of bias, hate, and/or microaggressions. Once established, the information will be published on this webpage.
