Cindy Kuhrasch is a Distinguished Teaching Faculty IV in the Department of Kinesiology where she has served for over 20 years. In addition, she serves as the Program Coordinator for the Physical Education Teacher Education program.
Before coming to UW-Madison, Cindy taught Health and Physical education to Kindergarten through 12th grade public school students.
In her current position, Cindy teaches methods, assessment, curriculum, class management and technology coursework as well as supervising the placement and evaluation of the student teachers. This year Cindy has also created a partnership with St. James school where she currently serves as the elementary Physical Education teacher. In this position, Cindy brings her University students to St. James to observe and practice their teaching skills in a real-life setting.
In addition, Cindy has served as a consultant in many school districts, working in the areas of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and technology. She has presented on a wide variety of education topics at state, district, and national conventions, and has written articles in national educational journals as well. Besides serving on a number of University committees, Cindy serves on the Executive Board for the Boys and Girls Club in Dance County through which she further creates partnerships between University students and the youth of Dane County.
