Pultorak, Sarah

Sarah is an occupational therapist with clinical experience in mental health (child, adolescent, and adult), acute care, and longterm acute care (adults and geriatrics). A badger through and through, Sarah completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UW-Madison (BA ‘10, MS ‘14, OTD ‘21). Her doctoral work focused on incorporating mental health care into UW’s interdisciplinary, student-run Pro Bono clinic, which focuses primarily on addressing physical needs of clients with neurological conditions. Sarah has presented on a holistic, occupation-centered approach to healing chronic pain and the importance of free play outdoors for healthy child development. She is in the process of becoming certified in a Nature-Led Approach to OT, and is passionate about leveraging the health-promoting benefits of nature connection to maximize engagement in occupations. Sarah is also a registered yoga teacher and has previously taught yoga and adaptive yoga classes at UW Health Fitness Center. When not at UW in some form, Sarah can be found playing steel pans, performing Brazilian dance, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, running, wandering outdoors, or playing with her son, Oberen.
