Janet Branchaw was a panel speaker at the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine Convocation

In October, Board on Higher Education and Workforce of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine hosted a convocation on “Re-envisioning Promotion and Advancement for STEM Faculty: Aligning  Incentives with Values” to highlight policies and strategies that affect the systems of reward and professional advancement for science, engineering, and medicine faculty in U.S. colleges and universities. The convocation was meant to launch a conversation to explore how institutional policies and practices align with stated missions, identify promising current and experimental reward systems, and highlight models of assessing an academic career.

Janet Branchaw was invited and presented on the panel “Measuring what we value: evaluation and assessment of academic careers”!
